Sometimes reviving old doodles works out! I really enjoyed experimenting with this one and I've realized that playing with color can be really fun. Prints and other products featuring this piece are now available at my Society6 shop here.

Tokyo Tower

I finally made a trip to Tokyo this past December and I had a few sketches and ideas after coming home. One of the highlights of the trip was going to the top of Tokyo Tower. We went right when the sun was setting so we had a great experience. I did the sketch for this when we got back to the hotel that night   

I really wanted to play with the color on this one because I felt that the mood would change depending on the palette I used.

New Style?

I've been experimenting lately and this is the result of all my day dreaming and doodling.

The idea for this piece came to me when I was listening to a song called "Point" by Perfume, one of the many J-Pop groups I love. Whenever I hear this song, this image is exactly what comes to mind, and I can honestly say this piece came out exactly how I wanted it to. I'm giving flatter colors a try and I'm really enjoying it.

Quick update!

I just want to post up my finished mentor piece for this semester. The project was to create a book cover for Bleak House by Charles Dickens complete with hand drawn type. I'm leaving the type separate for now because I haven't quite figured out how I want to fit it in yet.

I'll be back after the end of the semester to post up more work. I can't believe that I've spent 4 years at FIT and that it's time to graduate already.

The last two are a little different from what I've been posting here, it's a more linear style for me that I'm kind of working out.

I'll end up updating when I have work I feel like posting again.

6th semester: DONE

Sooo I guess I'll only be updating this after every semester ends? I keep forgetting it exists and for that I'm sorry.

The semester is finally over, the last two weeks really killed me. Here's the work I have to show (or am willing to show) for this semester.



Sorry for the lack of a decent picture. This is my first oil painting ever. I'm actually really really happy with the way it turned out, and I spent the whole semester working on it. Oil is a medium I definitely want to try and use more, I love it.

These are two pieces from my digital painting class which I really enjoyed. I feel like I finally got to do some work I can be proud of this semester.

I fail at art blogging.

Yeah I'm really bad at getting my stuff on the computer.
This is some stuff I did last semester in Adobe Illustrator for class.

We had to do a promotional brochure for ourselves and this was the version I handed in for class.

I wasn't totally happy with it, so after the semester ended I went back and fixed it the way I wanted. This is the final piece.


The rest is just random projects we had throughout the semester in that class.




I actually feel like I improved quite a bit in this class and I kind of have a new way of looking at my digital work.
I will seriously try to get on putting more work up here frequently.
